Susan and Jackson decide to tell Mike and Katherine about their upcoming marriage. Katherine is ecstatic while Mike is a little less enthusiastic. Since Susan cannot tell anyone about the marriage being fake, Jackson decides they should throw an engagement party. At the party, Dave finds out Jackson will be talking to the investigators in the club fire to see if he saw anything suspicious. Mike tells Susan that since she is getting re-married he no longer has to pay alimony. Susan tells Jackson she will try to work something out with Mike so the can continue with their plan. Susan reveals the real reason she is marrying Jackson and Katherine agrees to talk to Mike. Dave, who was on the phone with Katherine, heard everything and calls immigration. Jackson is taken away by immigration just before going to the courthouse to get married. Now that Susan is getting married, Mike proposes to Katherine who knows he is only doing it because of Susan but doesn’t care.

Karl suggests secret bank accounts to protect her assets and Bree is relunctant to stage a robbery in order to hide her valuables. They stage the robbery when everyone is at Susan and Jackson’s engagement party. Bree starts to change her mind about divorcing Orson but Karl tells her that he heard the excuses before and gets her to continue the divorce. When Orson answers Bree’s cell phone, he finds out that she has rented a storage unit and when he opens it up he finds all the stuff that was stolen and Orson becomes suspicious.

Juanita has become a bit spoiled so Gabby takes her to a local soup kitchen to teach her lesson. On her way out, Gabby runs into a former friend, Fran, who has no lost everything and is in line to eat. Gabby tries to figure out what could’ve happened and believes it could be from gambling, drugs, or drinking. The next day, Gabby goes back to the soup kitchen and offers to help Fran while trying to determine how she lost everything. Fran tells her that they were careless with their money and when her husband got sick he lost his insurance leaving them with nothing and then he died. Fran warns Gabby that everyone is just a bad investment or a tumor away from becoming homeless. Fran thanks Gabby for the money and leaves Gabby questioning her financial future.

Tom believes he is too old to get a job so when he bumps into his college roommate who had plastic surgery, he decides to do the same. Lynette is upset over this so she has Tom meet a guy who had the same procedure he is planning on having that went badly. Lynette tells him that some day he will grow tired of her looks and she convinces him to change his mind by telling him that his wrinkles are memories of their marriage.

“Marry Me a Little” is the 109th episode of the ABC television series Desperate Housewives. It is the twenty-second episode of the show’s fifth season and aired on May 10, 2009.
