Harper’s Island 5/2/09 Bang Episode Recap

May 3rd, 2009 · No Comments

Shea, accompanied by Madison, goes to visit Karena the psychic in order to make arrangements for the bachelorette party that night. Shea provides Karena with a list of the female guests birth dates.

Henry and Trish fool around in their bedroom, joking about the bachelor party.

As Shea and Madison leave the psychic’s, it is revealed that Madison has stolen The Tower (Tarot card).

As Karena looks at the list of birth dates (including Trish, Shea, Chloe, Beth, Lucy, Abby and Katherine’s) her nose begins to bleed, with the blood drops falling on Abby’s name.

Abby leaves The Cannery with Jimmy who apologises to her over the whole Shane/Kelly situation. Abby manages to persuade him to let her drive his car.

Sully, Danny and Booth inform Henry they are taking him fishing for his bachelor party, along with Malcolm and ‘Muffin’; a blow up doll.

Malcolm is trying to persuade Thomas Wellington and Richard Allen to give him the start up capital he needs to start his beer business.

Shea shows Trish their mother’s tea set which she had shipped in for a bachelorette tea party. Madison breaks a cup, but claims she didn’t do it.

On the fishing boat, it is revealed that Thomas and Richard rejected Malcolm’s proposal. Henry catches a giant fish, with Sully jumping off board in fear. Sully plays a prank on the guys, pretending he gets pulled underneath the surface. Danny spots seagulls flying above the surface of the water in the distance, suggesting they check it out as this may indicate the presence of more fish.

Jimmy and Abby discuss her breaking up with him, her leaving the island, and her life in L.A.

Henry, Sully and the groomsmen discover Hunter’s dead body on the speedboat. His face was almost completely blown off though, so no one, not even Henry, recognise him. They find Uncle Marty’s bag of cash and gun and conclude Hunter might be a drug dealer. Malcolm wants to take the money but Henry and Booth want to report the dead body. Malcolm blows a hole in the speedboat with the gun, forcing them to take the money.

Madison and Thomas are playing Go Fish. Trish asks them have they seen Katherine. Madison tells Trish she saw her by the pool earlier. Trish stumbles upon Katherine and Richard enacting another ‘role play’ and finds out about the affair.

Jimmy shows Abby his soft side by offering to drive Julia, a local elderly woman, into town.

Cal asks the guys how the fishing went while they try to play it cool. Malcolm begs Henry to let him keep the money. The guys agree to forget about the money until the wedding is over.

Abby visits Robin in Harper’s Globe in order to collect a back issue for her photo album. She finds newspapers on the Wakefield murders stacked on the desk. Robin tells her someone asked the paper for every article on the Wakefield case but never came to pick them up. As Abby leaves Harper’s Globe, she is distracted when she sees Robin staring at her through the window. She is almost knocked down by Karena, accidentally destroying her photo album in the process.

Trish tells Henry about the affair.

At the bachelorette party, Katherine gives all the girls sweaters she had custom made for the wedding. Maggie takes Shea and Trish to a room, showing them that someone has destroyed their mother’s tea set. Shea immediately asks where Madison is. Abby goes to look for her. She finds her playing by herself, repeating the phrase “one by one”. Madison tells her the spirits told her she will never get to be a flower girl.

Sully and the groomsmen are drinking in the bar when two shady looking characters walk in, who they suspect to be drug dealers. They tell Henry and realise they must hide the money. They draw straws to decide who hides it; it’s Booth.

The psychic is giving Trish a tarot reading, telling her someone will betray her. Trish suspects Katherine. The psychic tells her it is a man, although this man will also end up being her saviour.

Booth gets spooked in the woods when he is trying to hide the money.

In The Cannery, Henry confronts Richard about the affair.

Karena freaks out when taking Abby’s reading and rushes out.

The suspected drug dealers confront Sully and Henry in The Cannery, although it is then revealed they are looking for payment for the stripper Sully ordered for the bachelor party.

Malcolm scares Booth in the woods. Booth accidentally shoots himself in the leg with Uncle Marty’s gun. He dies in Malcolm’s arms from blood loss.

Back at The Cannery, the stripper is revealed to be Stacy, the younger sister of an old friend of Henry’s.

Abby bumps into Karena who tells her to leave the island, saying ‘he’ wants her dead and ‘he’ won’t stop.

Malcolm arrives at The Cannery. He does not inform anyone of Booth’s demise.

Abby calls to Jimmy’s house and they embrace.

In Malcolm’s room, it is revealed he took Uncle Marty’s cash for himself as he sobs.

A drunk Trish falls into the hotel swimming pool alone. While underwater, the pool cover is replaced, trapping Trish beneath the surface. She passes out right before someone jumps into the pool and saves her. This person is joined by Henry who asks what happened. Trish’s saviour is revealed to be Richard, fulfilling Karena’a prophecy.
