HELEN’S BACK GOES OUT ON THE EVE OF THE ORGANIC GARDENING TOUR, ON ABC’S “THE GOODE FAMILY”

“Helen’s Back” - When Helen’s back goes out, it looks like all is lost for the Goodes’ chances of being featured on the all-important organic garden tour. Help comes in the way of a Latino gardening crew and a former Burmese childhood pen pal of Helen’s. Right before the committee arrives to inspect the garden, the Goodes realize they have unknowingly been exploiting the workers. Meanwhile, Ubuntu and Bliss try an experiment in the new economy tactic of “trading up,” when “The Goode Family” moves to its new day and time, FRIDAY, JUNE 12 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“The Goode Family” is voiced by Mike Judge as Gerald, Nancy Carell as Helen/Clothing Store Manager, Dave Herman as Ubuntu/Dr. Murray/Treyvon, Linda Cardellini as Bliss and Brian Doyle-Murray as Charlie.
Guest voice cast: Gary Anthony Williams as Ray/Lawn Ornament Seller, Susan Chuang as Mahkinkin/Shopper Mom, Laraine Newman as Anya/Declan, Julia Sweeney as Margo, Carlos Alazraqui as Miguel and Nick Jameson as Esteban/Professor Montoya.

“Helen’s Back” was written by John Collier and directed by Jen Coyle.

“The Goode Family” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary Closed Captioning.

This episode of “The Goode Family” will be available on abc.com the day after airing on the network for users to watch online.
