DENIAL BECOMES A CONSTANT THEME AT MERCY AS VERONICA MEETS A PATIENT THAT REMINDS HER OF HER OWN ISSUES; CHLOE BEGINS TO WARM UP TO THE EGOTISTICAL DR. BRIGGS
Veronica (Taylor Schilling) cares for an anorexic patient who is almost as good at denial as she is. When Sands (James Tupper) and the Flanagan clan confront Veronica after a St. Patrick’s Day binge, she considers seeing a therapist. After working with him to save a heart attack patient, Chloe (Michelle Trachtenberg) softens slightly toward the arrogant Dr. Briggs (James Van Der Beek) when she learns why he became a doctor.
Meanwhile, Sonia (Jaime Lee Kirchner), still privately mourning the death of her home-care patient, is surprised to run into her ex-boyfriend at a St. Patrick’s Day fair. Guillermo Diaz, Diego Klattenhoff, Margo Martindale, and James LeGros also star.
