Miami Homicide starts investigating Gellar. Dexter examines the angel wings from Doomsday’s recent killing and finds that a very unique glue was used to attach on a piece of the wing, which leads him to identifying Travis. Masuka hires a new assistant, Louis Green who helps him with the missing evidence from the ‘ice truck killer’ case. Deb realizes she needs her own place and rents out a beach house that was a suicide crime scene after she gets into an argument with Jamie at Dexter’s apartment.
Brother Sam tells Dexter that someone fired gunshots at his autoshop. Geller tries to get Travis to start making his own kills but he cannot manage on his own after Gellar makes front page news as the ‘Doomsday Killer’. After Travis fails to capture a “whore of Babylon” on his own, he and Gellar kidnap a woman together. Dexter decides to kill Travis, before he realizes that Travis is just Gellar’s tool, and that he might not have succumbed to the “darkness” yet, and knowing that he will lead him to Gellar.
Quinn and Batista go to Tallahassee to investigate Professor Porter (Gellar’s assistant), after Quinn sleeps with Porter, Batista finds a journal of Geller’s full of detailed illustrations similar to the Doomsday murders. An unknown person shoots down Brother Sam in his shop.
“The Angel of Death” is the fifth episode of the sixth season of Showtime TV series Dexter. It was aired on October 30, 2011 and attracted 1.8 million viewers from the US.
