How I Met Your Mother 2/20/12 “No Pressure” Episode Recap

February 22nd, 2012 · No Comments

Ted and Robin deal with the aftermath of his confession of love for her, five years after breaking up over where each saw him- or herself in five years. This throws their status as long-time platonic friends and roommates into question. Meanwhile, Barney makes it his mission to find Marshall and Lily’s sex tape. Instead he finds a box where Lily and Marshall keep long-term bets. One of them was about Ted and Robin ending up together. Robins flies to Russia for work.

Ted realizes the reason he and Robin won’t work out is because she is in love with Barney and he decides to tell him this. From this Barney tells Ted everything that has happened with Robin and himself, but he claims he’s now over her and that even though she broke his heart he doesn’t mind if even Ted gets back together with her. After she comes back, Ted meets her at the airport and they go on a date to the restaurant where their first date took place. Ted then talks to her about it, and they both decide that nothing is going happen between them.

Marshall then decides to go and talk to Robin and tell her that it’s probably best if she were to move out. Robin decides to finally move out. The show closes with Ted exiting the apartment where it is revealed to be raining and all the people outside are seen with yellow umbrellas. But when Lily asks Marshall to pay up for the bet, he doesn’t and says “Not yet”.

“No Pressure” is the seventeenth episode of the seventh season of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, and the 153rd episode overall. It aired on February 20, 2012.
