The episode starts with Elena finding out that Damon had slept with Rebekah. She also tells him about Esther’s plan on killing her family. At her home, Elena is greeted by Elijah who gets her to go to the woods with him. There, Elijah tells Elena that he knows she lied during the ball when he asked her what Esther wanted from her. Elena tells him the truth about what Esther wants but Elijah, who is mad at her for lying, makes Elena hostage underground with Rebekah. Meanwhile, Abby and Bonnie meet with Esther and Finn.

Esther tells them that during the full moon in the night, they will do a ritual in which Kol, Finn, Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah will turn into mortals again. At the Boarding House, Stefan and Damon come up of a plan to neutralize one of the Originals so instead of them dying they only stay dead until someone removes their daggers. At the Mystic Grill, Alaric who is with Meredith is called by Damon to dagger Kol. Klaus who is with Kol, is distracted by Caroline and they go together outside were they talk and sit together.

Kol starts flirting with Meredith while Alaric daggers him from behind and takes him outside where he meets with Stefan and Damon. Finn who is with Esther, is neutralized and so is Rebekah. Klaus starts yelling and asking if Caroline did something as he feels his heart racing. He storms off to where Stefan and Damon are. He gets the dagger out of Kol and pushes Alaric and Stefan away. Damon confronts Klaus only to be stopped by Elijah who warns Klaus that Esther is ready to kill them. Finn wakes up and warns Esther that the others are coming.

Elijah, Kol and Klaus confront their mother and Finn. Bonnie and Abby, who are both hiding in the witch house are shocked to see Stefan. Damon feeds Abby vampire blood and snaps her neck.

“All My Children” is the fifteenth episode of season 3 of The Vampire Diaries and the 59th episode overall. It first broadcast February 16, 2012 on The CW Network.
