To help pass time while posing a holiday nativity scene, Cleveland tells his family his own version of one of his favorite holiday stories, Die Hard.

After detective Cleveland Brown flies into Los Angeles to meet his wife at her job at Waterman International, he tells his limo driver Rallo about some of his marriage troubles while he hopes to reconcile during the office Christmas party. Meeting with his wife, he takes off his shoes and tries to be romantic but Donna resists his charms and returns to the party alone.

Meanwhile, a group of theives led by Tim posing as terrorists take the party guests hostage and separate Mr. Waterman in order to gain access to the Waterman International vault.

Cleveland tosses his shoes out the window over a nearby poser line when he hears gunshots and arrives as Mr. Waterman is killed. Hearing noise from Cleveland, Tim sends Kendra out to investigate where she is killed by Cleveland. As the terrorists discover Kendra’s body, they hear Cleveland trying to use his radio to call for police and start shooting. Police dispatcher Roberta sends officer Cleveland Brown, Jr. to investigate. As Cleveland dispatches another of the terrorists and escapes into an air shaft, Junior arrives but is told by a guy that looks like Huey Lewis but is really one of the terrorists that all is well and starts to leave. To get his attention, Cleveland throws a janitor out the window onto Junior’s squad car. Junior frantically backs away as the terrorists fire on his car.

As police surround the building, Cleveland taunts the terrorists but slips and gives away his location. As Roberta Tubbs struggle to crack the vault, the gift exchange at the party hostages goes on. But when Donny’s gift turns out to be a small package of golf balls in a large box, he is shot too. As Cleveland and Junior exchange banter over the radio, Tim arrives but is taken by surprise. Tim manages to come up with a name on the office list and fools Cleveland who gives him a gun which her turns of Cleveland. Cleveland manages to distract him momentarily and takes out another of the henchmen as he escapes. As Cleveland hides behind a wall of glass and keeps Tim and Lester pinned down, Tim orders Lester to shoot out the glass after noticing Cleveland’s bare feet. Cleveland is forces to retreat through the glass picking up several shards in the process. Despite picking out much of the glass, Cleveland leaves bloody footprints behind him.

Two FBI agents arrive and order the building power to be cut off which results in the vault opening. The terrorists take Cleveland’s friend Holt hostage but kill him after they learn that they also hold Cleveland’s wife Donna. As Cleveland ponders his next move, Lester manages to sneak up on him but is hung from a chain by Cleveland after telling him that the hostages have been moved to the roof with explosives. Arriving on the roof, Cleveland orders everyone off but the FBI agents in a helicopter mistake Cleveland for one of the terrorists and open fire on him. Tim orders the roof blow as Cleveland ties a fire hose around his waist and jumps from the rooftop. The blast engulfs the helicopter as Cleveland shoots his way back into the building. As Cleveland catches Tim and his last henchman, Tim grams Donna and holds her at gunpoint forcing Cleveland to drop his gun. As Tim thinks he’s won, Cleveland draws a second gun taped to his back and shoots Tim and the henchman, forcing Tim through out the window. Tim grabs Donna’s wig and holds her by the hair. Cleveland makes Donna undo her wig and Tim falls to his death.

Outside as the surviving hostages are freed, Donna and Cleveland reconcile. Lester springs up shooting at the two to be killed by Junior who also shoots Walt noting that he shoots kids.

The scene returns to the nativity scene as only Junior and Roberta remain awake. Junior enthusiastically asks about a sequel to be told they will see what the internet has to say first.

“Die Semi-Hard” is the seventh episode of the third season of the FOX series The Cleveland Show. It originally aired on December 11, 2011. The episode is a retelling and parody of the 1988 blockbuster film, Die Hard, recasting the show’s characters into Die Hard roles.

When a storm hits Stoolbend, the Brown/Tubbs family tries to salvage what is left of their vacation despite the lack of any food in the house, and Cleveland, Jr. shocks everyone by revealing himself to be an atheist (though he rejects the “atheist” term, calling it “another religion” and contrasting himself with militant atheists like Brian Griffin).

The family attempt to persuade Cleveland, Jr. through reason, emotional appeal, and even a production number, but instead find their sense of religion and faith tested. As the storm worsens, a hungry Cleveland confronts Cleveland, Jr. over the possibility of having food stored in his room. Cleveland, Jr. explains he used a very scientific method to ration the food.

When the family is still resistant to his atheistic lifestyle Cleveland, Jr. locks the food away. Cleveland calls on God to smite Cleveland, Jr. for his actions – at which point a tree crashes through the house and pins, not Cleveland, Jr., but Cleveland himself. The family are unable to lift the tree by hand and decide to pray to God for help. Cleveland, Jr. is able to rig together a pulley system and lifts the tree using his own weight. The family disagrees over whether God was involved in Cleveland, Jr.’s actions and the belief of Cleveland, Jr. is left unresolved.

“The Hurricane!” is the second episode of the third season of the animated comedy series The Cleveland Show and is the first part of an animated triple-crossover with Family Guy and American Dad!, the first such event in the animated television line-up of Fox. The episode aired on Fox in the United States on October 2, 2011.

After getting the brush-from Peter, Cleveland decides to bond with the guys. Searching out bonding experiences, The guys decide on a camping trip hosted by Ric Flair. While canoeing to a gathering place, the guys upset their canoes and are tossed overboard. Gathering themselves on the bank, they become lost and are found by a group of hillbillies who plan on raping them. When Cleveland understands what is about to happen, he makes a break for it but the others fail to get away.

Cleveland finds himself at the intended gathering spot and after a spa and massage, goes back to rescue his friends. Cleveland reminds Peter that there are and will always be friends.

Meanwhile, Rallo gets invited to a reunion of his daycare graduation. While there, Donna feels she hasn’t pushed Rallo to advance himself as the other class mothers have and Donna has Rallo compete in a Quiz Bowl tournament to prove that he is just as smart as the other kids in his class. When Rallo bombs at the Quiz Bowl, he demonstrates a thorough understanding of practical knowledge rather than trivia and he leaves triumphantly with Donna.

Over breakfast Cleveland shows off his dream comic book “Waderman” inspired by an incident when he was younger when Donna fell into a fountain. Cleveland proposes to take the entire family to Comic-con in an attempt to sell his comic book, “Waderman”. Despite Donna’s initial reservations, Cleveland manages to convince her to let them go. While there, Donna is horrified to find out that Robert Rodriguez is screening a Blaxploitation film that she starred in when she was younger. After paying for Rallo’s silence, Donna stalks off to cancel the screening. Trying to drum up attention for his comic book, Cleveland hires Rallo to be his sidekick “Squirt” although just as they start to attract some attention, the conventioneers are drawn off by a display from FOX.

When Donna locates Rodriguez she demands that he call off the screening. Despite his initial refusal, Rodriguez agrees. However, he offers to make “Waderman” into a movie for Cleveland and uses the leverage to persuade Donna into appearing at the screening where he promises her it will be the only time the film is shown. After being tricked into going to the beach to see how long “Waderman” could hold up in water, Cleveland returns to the screening where he finds Donna’s character engaged in a sex scene. After getting over his shock, Donna explains to Cleveland that Rodriguez promised that that would be the only screening. However, Rodriguez tells Donna that the film was such a hit that he made a deal with Warner Brothers to distribute it and takes off with the film, telling Cleveland that he only used him to get Donna to appear at the screening.

Donna attempts to wrestle the film away but fails and Rodriguez’ henchmen Cheech Marin and Danny Trejo lock Cleveland and Donna out of the con. As Donna apologizes, explaining that she was just trying to help Cleveland with his comic, Cleveland comforts her on her appearance. Deciding to try again to get the film, they change into Waderman and Cocoa Bang Bang. After taking out the guards at the door, they catch Rodriguez just as he is leaving. Rodriguez jumps into a pedicab and orders the driver to take him to the Amtrak station and Donna and Cleveland follow in a second. Arriving at the train station, they catch up with Rodriguez although Donna nearly slips in a fountain but she is rescued by Cleveland who tosses her onto Rodriguez. As Cleveland takes Rodriguez’ guitar case containing the film, Rodriguez pulls out a pair of guns. Cleveland presses a button on the handle of the case that launches a rocket that hits a passing tanker truck by Rodriguez as it explodes and Cleveland and Donna walk off into the sunset with their clothes singed and burned.

QUAHOG AND STOOLBEND ROCK! ANIMATED FAVORITES “FAMILY GUY” AND “THE CLEVELAND SHOW” RENEWED FOR ADDITIONAL SEASON

Catch an All-New FAMILY GUY and THE CLEVELAND SHOW Sunday, May 15, on FOX; Special One-Hour FAMILY GUY Season Finale Returns to a Galaxy Far, Far Away Sunday, May 22

FOX has renewed ANIMATION DOMINATION favorites FAMILY GUY for a tenth season and THE CLEVELAND SHOW for a fourth season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

“For nine seasons, our viewers have been cracked up, delighted, surprised and, at times, gloriously disturbed by the mind of Seth MacFarlane – and they keep coming back for more,” said Reilly. “The Griffins and the Browns have become cornerstones of our Sunday nights, and we can’t wait to find out what new adventures Seth, Mike and Rich cook up for them next season.”

In the “Foreign Affairs” episode of FAMILY GUY, airing Sunday, May 15 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX, BONNIE (guest voice Jennifer Tilly) and LOIS (Alex Borstein) plan a girls’ getaway to Paris, but while there, Bonnie crosses the line in the City of Love. Meanwhile, PETER (Seth MacFarlane) homeschools CHRIS (Seth Green) and MEG (Mila Kunis) using some unorthodox teaching methods. Then, in the “Episode VI: It’s a Trap” one-hour season finale episode of FAMILY GUY, airing Sunday, May 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the Griffins return to that galaxy far, far away as their freakin’ sweet saga continues with the final installment of the hilarious three-part “Star Wars” satire. The characters from around the Quahog universe reprise their intergalactic roles in an outrageous retelling of “Star Wars, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.” Special guest voices on the episode include Anne Hathaway, Rush Limbaugh, Carrie Fisher and many others.

In the “Hot Cocoa Bang Bang” season finale episode of THE CLEVELAND SHOW, airing Sunday, May 15 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT), CLEVELAND (Mike Henry) takes the entire family to a comic convention in an attempt to sell his comic book, “Waderman.” While there, DONNA (Sanaa Lathan) is horrified to find out that Robert Rodriguez (guest-voicing as himself) is screening a Blaxploitation film that she starred in when she was younger, and CLEVELAND JR. (Kevin Michael Richardson), tired of Comic-Con being a playground for Hollywood to peddle their projects, gathers a band of geeks together to take the Con back to its true origins. The episode also features special guest voice appearances by Emily Deschanel (BONES), Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse”), Danny Trejo (“Machete”) and Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Gallactica”).

FAMILY GUY follows the adventures of endearingly ignorant dad Peter Griffin and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders – wife Lois, daughter Meg, son Chris, baby Stewie and dog Brian – in Quahog, Rhode Island. The animated series, which features the voice talents of Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Mila Kunis, is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth MacFarlane is creator/executive producer. Mark Hentemann and Steve Callaghan serve as executive producers/showrunners, while Chris Sheridan, Danny Smith, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild are executive producers.
THE CLEVELAND SHOW follows Cleveland Brown and his new life in Stoolbend, VA, with his high-school-sweetheart-turned-second-wife, Donna, and their three children: Roberta, Cleveland Jr. and Rallo. The animated series, which features the voice talents of Mike Henry, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sanaa Lathan, Reagan Gomez and Jason Sudeikis, is a 20th Century Fox Television Production.
